I have been using my Duracell CEF14 battery charger to charge my Panasonic EVOLTA and IKEA Ladda batteries for a long time. The ikea stenkol battery charger is designed to charge only AA and AAA rechargeable NiMH batteries. These batteries are most commonly used household devices like toothbrushes, flashlights, cameras, remote controls, and small toys. Notice that it is not suitable for some other batteries, like 3.7V 18650 batteries. Stenkol is part of IKEA’s eco-friendly products behavior which aims to reduce disposable batteries. Great for earth! I like supporting these companies and products, too.

Design and Features
IKEA Stenkol has a clear and simple design. It has four slots, and you can use both AA and AAA NiMH batteries simultaneously in each slot. Good thing with this charger is that; You can charge each slot individually! In older chargers, usually you must charge batteries 2-pair or 4-pair, but you can charge only one battery, in any slot which Stenkol! This is a big plus.
All slots have a two color led indicator to inform you about charging process.
Meanings of led indicators:

Charging Time
First of all, IKEA Stenkol is *not* a super-fast charger. If you are looking for a charger that charges batteries in 1-2 hours, look for something else. Stenkol usually charges empty AA and AAA batteries for about 4-8 hours. This time depends on how many batteries you are charging. For example, if you are charging 4 AA batteries at a time, that takes about 8 hours, but if you are charging only 2 AAA batteries, it takes only 2-3 hours. As a safety feature, Stenkol stops charging when batteries are fully charged (LED gets white).
Personal Experience
For a long time, I have been using my Duracell CEF14 battery charger. Suddenly, it started not to charge my IKEA Ladda batteries fully. In normal, CEF14 charges my batteries in 4-6 hours, but it started not to charge, even after 24 hours! For this reason, I started to search a quality charger and give a chance to IKEA STENKOL, since I was using IKEA Ladda batteries for a long time happily.
Bad thing with IKEA products is that, it is really difficult to find them, except IKEA. Fortunately, there is a big IKEA store in my city, and bought my IKEA STENKOL charger. It has a nice olive-green color and it became one of my most liked products, I bought. It has a simple box, just charger and simple usage guide included. It can charge both AA and AAA rechargeable batteries. Works as plug&play, you just insert batteries and it immediately start charging.
I use it whenever my rechargeable batteries run out of charge. What I most liked with my IKEA STENKOL charger is that: I don’t need to pair my batteries to charge. In old times, I have to pair batteries like 2xAA, 2xAAA, 4xAA or 4xAAA. You don’t have to do that in STENKOL. It can charge every channel independently! You can charge 1xAA battery or 1xAA+2xAAA battery at the same time! This is really simple but very practical. I don’t understand why other charges don’t run like that!
Only drawback of IKEA STENKOL is availability. It is almost impossible to find it on the market except, IKEA online or IKEA stores. Fortunately, recently Amazon started to sell STENKOL. I hope more people finds opportunity to use that clever chargers.
Overall, it is a simple but reliable battery charger. It works exactly as intended! Not a super-fast charger, but not a slow charger also. I insert my batteries for charging, and forget it! It stops charging when batteries fully charged. Hassle-free charger.
