Adidas Superstar is one of the most comfortable shoe on the market. These famous shoes are not only comfortable but also very stylish!
As you can check on my Adidas Stan Smith review, I wasn’t the biggest fan of my Adidas Stan Smith shoes. Both shoes are the products of Adidas but I can see huge differences between Superstar and Stan Smith.
First Impression
First time when I wore my Adidas Originals Superstar Shoes on my feet, my reaction was “these are specially made for me”!
Other thing, I impressed was its weight. It was really lightweight shoe.
Immediately, I tried my Superstar to see how will it fit.
Actually, It fits perfectly and it was super comfy.
Insoles of Superstar supports my feet and makes the shoe extra comfortable and robust.
Another thing that took my attention was shell toe. Superstar is a Shell toe Adidas which is very cute 🙂

Adidas Superstar Weight
Adidas Superstar weight is about 6 oz (170 grams) and and it is a very lightweight shoe. This weight can be considered as very low, in contrast to similar sneakers.
Style
Adidas Superstar shoes has a timeless design and you can pair it with most of your outfits easily. It has a distinctive shell toe design with coated leather upper. Zigzag three stripes and herringbone cupsole are other cornerstones of Adidas Superstar. Besides Superstars’ comfortability, its color options are extensive. You can find many colorful Adidas Superstar womens and mens models. All of them outfits easily!
Outsole
Adidas Superstar trainers have a rubber outsole. It has a herringbone pattern outsole. This pattern provide a superb traction and fairly enough for a wet ground. Outsole is made of fairly durable rubber. I use it for around a year and it is still sturdy.
It has a EVA midsole. Both EVA midsole and rubber outsole provide good resistance to external distortions.
Adidas Superstar trainers have a lightweight sole unit. This is a big plus for daily activities.

Adidas Superstar Shoes Durability
Adidas Superstar shoes has a full-grain leather with textile lining upper. Rubber shell toe adds extra durability and flexibility to the iconic Superstars. Therefore it is much more durable than other similar competitors.
I wore Superstar in weekdays, weekends, rainy days, cold days, hot days. Just to be clear, these shoes were on my feet almost all the days for a year. They were the most comfortable shoes I have ever seen. At the end of a year it couldn’t handle my hard use and it is loosen itself and became unwearable. This is normal for such a hard work! 🙂
I have also a Adidas Stan Smith shoe. It has a durable sole and full grain leather upper. As a person who have both Superstar and Stan Smith, I can conclude that Stan Smith looks more durable. But Superstar is a bit more comfortable, but not much!
Are Adidas Superstars Comfortable?

They are the most comfortable Adidas shoes I have ever used.
is Adidas Superstar Shoes Waterproof?
Unfortunately Adidas Superstar Shoes are not Waterproof. But, it has a thick leather upper and rubber shell toe. These features provide some water resistance. But don’t expect much! 🙂
Do Adidas Superstars Run Big?
Surprisingly, Adidas Superstar shoes runs big. It is safe to buy half size smaller for Superstar Adidas shoes. Especially, if you are buying online!
Can Adidas Superstar be Washed?
I have washed my Superstars with washing machine many times without problem. No deformation due to washing machine. But Adidas officially does not advice you to wash your sneakers (and Superstar) with washing machine. Instead, Adidas advice you to clean dirt with a toothbrush first. Then to use a washcloth to gently wipe away residues. Surely they know best 🙂
BUT as I said before, I washed my Superstar with washing machine many times without problem.
Adidas Superstar Review Summary
Adidas Superstar is a timeless real classic shoe. You can pair it with most of your outfits easily. Adidas released that iconic shoes in 1969 and since then they are real classics. Many top-model used that iconic shoes not only for beautiful look, but also for superb comfortability.
They are not as simple as Adidas Stan Smith shoes. Unlike Stan Smith, Superstar has many color options but Adidas Superstar black is my favorite 🙂
Besides its comfort, Superstars are really durable shoes. I wore my Adidas Superstar black womens almost all of the days for one year. That was really great.
Adidas Superstar trainers price is really favorable compared to similar well known shoes. If you find a deal, don’t miss!
